Creating / Using a Credit Card Convenience Fee for Deals
This process will help Dealerships charge Credit Card Convenience Fees on a quote / deal. Credit Card Convenience Fees may be Taxable dependent on State Law.
Creating a Credit Card Convenience Fee for Deals
1. Open a blank Quote Form and access the Item Price Tab

2. Access the Item Price Tab and Add an Convenience Fee Header under "Enter Retail Price for Items"; to do so, follow the steps for Adding / Amending Items to the Deal Item Price Tab for Existing Buyers Order Mapping

3. Open the Deal Tools Menu and select Save Defaults

IMPORTANT: DO NOT SAVE THE FORM - an unwanted blank deal will be created.

4. Exit the form without saving, by clicking the "X" to close the Quote Desking Form

10. Choose No on the Save Changes? dialog box

REQUIRED: Mapping is necessary for the fee to transition into QuickBooks. Anything placed on the Item Price Tab requires mapping.
1. Navigate to the Office Operations Tab and select Set Map Codes

2. Locate the Map Codes listed as Deal - Item Price Tab

3. Choose the QB Item for this Item (If the Item shows with gold highlight, the Item is already mapped to QuickBooks, if not, a new Item will need to be created in QuickBooks, in which to map to.)

4. Save

Using a Credit Card Convenience Fee for Deals
1. Navigate to the Item Price Tab of the Quote Form

2. Calculate the Convenience Fee and key that amount in the Convenience Fee Field
NOTE: Credit Card Convenience Fees may be Taxable dependent on State Law.

3. Continue as usual
