QuickBooks is not able to differentiate a Customer and a Vendor with the same name. It is best practice to add a number or symbol to the Vendor Name, when entering the same name as a Customer.
The QuickBooks error message below may occur, when adding a Vendor with the same name as a Customer or vice verse. QuickBooks is not able to differentiate a Customer and a Vendor with the same name. There are a couple ways to resolve this;
Change the name of the Vendor or Customer
