It is common to use the close date for a Repair Order for most reports, but there are a few exceptions.
Q: When I run a report on Closed Repair Orders with a time range, a Repair Order displays, but when I run a Technician Labor Report for the same date range, that same Repair Order does not display.
A: The Technician Labor Report includes Repair Order Jobs based on the job line completion date. If the Repair Order was closed within the date range specified, but the job was marked completed is outside that date range, that Repair Order would be included on the Closed Repair Order Report, not the Technician Labor Report.
Q: I noticed the income for Retail Repair Orders are recorded on the Income by Department Report, but not necessarily on the Technician Detail Report, or vice versa.
A. The Income By Department Report(Sales Tax By Department) includes closed transactions. The Tech Productivity Detail includes Repair Order Jobs based on the job completion date.
